Birthstone Collection: Ruby (July) – A Soap Inspired by Summer's Boldest Gem

July's birthstone is one of the most iconic gemstones in the world—the vibrant ruby. Known for its rich crimson color and symbolism of passion, love, strength, and vitality, it was the perfect inspiration for our Birthstone Collection.

In this behind-the-scenes video, you'll see the entire journey from pouring the soap batter to cutting the finished loaf. One of my favorite parts of the soapmaking process is watching a design come to life, especially when the first cut reveals the unique pattern hidden inside. No two bars are ever exactly alike, making each one a little piece of handcrafted art.

For the Ruby bar, I wanted to capture the depth and brilliance of the gemstone with rich ruby red tones accented by shimmering details. The result is a bold, elegant soap that feels just as special as the birthstone it represents.

The fragrance is just as captivating as its gemstone inspiration. Bright notes of ruby red grapefruit, yuzu, and lemon zest are balanced by delicate rosewater, juicy pomegranate, and soft jasmine petals, creating a scent that's vibrant, elegant, and refreshingly luxurious.

Every bar is handcrafted in small batches using skin-loving oils and butters to create a creamy, long-lasting lather that's as luxurious to use as it is beautiful to display. After cutting, each bar begins its curing journey, allowing it to harden into a longer-lasting soap that's gentle and enjoyable to use.
